Mother's day is my least favorite holiday. Because I don't have children to honor me on this day and I haven't had my mother since I was twenty-seven years old, it's a day I mostly spend alone.
I do remember my mother by writing a little note or making a card and laying it in front of her picture. I light a candle and let it burn until it goes out hoping she'll notice my memorials to her.
It's a sad day for me but it is a delightful holiday for most of you. If you have a mother who is living, I hope you show her your love and respect by spending some time with her. If you are a mother, I hope your children show their love for you and find a special way to honor you.
